Upcycle Denim Jacket Class
Every jacket tells a story—what will yours say? Join Shelia and Jeanette from the Modern Quilt Guild for this inspiring two-part class where you'll transform a denim (or other) jacket into a one-of-a-kind work of wearable art. During the first session, you'll brainstorm, sketch, and develop your design while exploring techniques and examples to inspire your creativity. In the second session, you'll bring your vision to life with guided instruction as you construct and complete your custom jacket. Whether your style is vintage, colorful, whimsical, modern, or somewhere in between, you'll leave with a piece that's completely your own.
Class Schedule
Session 1 – Design
Saturday, August 1
10 AM–2 PM
During this session, you can expect to take home handouts and supply lists, along with instructions for getting prepared for the second session
Session 2 – Construction
Saturday, September 19
9 AM–4 PM
Please bring a sketchbook or sketch paper to the first session. If you already have a jacket you'd like to use, feel free to bring it along—but don't worry if you haven't picked one yet! You'll receive handouts, supply lists, and everything you need to prepare for the construction day.
